The whole vehicle for your group, up to 8 people, from Salisbury station to the Red Lion in the centre of Avebury: £91.75, fixed when you book. Nothing extra on the day.
Your shuttle is a licensed private hire car run by Premier Taxis Salisbury.
Who drives you
Your private shuttle is a licensed taxi from Premier Taxis Salisbury.
Shared Shuttles takes the booking and the payment; Premier Taxis Salisbury, licensed by Wiltshire Council, does the driving. Private hire cars have to be booked in advance through a licensed operator, which is how this works.
When private makes sense
A group of 8
8 of you fill the vehicle, so the whole vehicle is yours anyway.
A fixed time
No waiting to see if anyone joins: the vehicle is booked for your time.
Bags or a pushchair
All the space in the vehicle is yours.
The vehicle
Premier Taxis Salisbury drives every shuttle on this journey, in a white Vauxhall Vivaro with 8 seats. The fare is for the whole vehicle and is shared between everyone on it.
Your trip page shows the driver, the number plate and how far away the vehicle is. To ask anything before you book, call us on 01722 672136.
If your plans or your train change
More than 2 hours before pickup, you can change to another shuttle for free. Within 2 hours, including when your train is late, your seat is paid for. If you miss your shuttle, you can hop on a later shuttle with free seats at no extra cost; if no later shuttle has free seats, you book a new one at the normal price.
When you get there
We drop you outside the Red Lion, in the middle of the village, with the stones all around. The National Trust looks after Avebury on behalf of English Heritage, and the stone circle is open from dawn to dusk with no ticket needed.
Visitor Reception is in the Great Barn in the Old Farmyard, with Circles Café and the shop close by.
Run by Premier Taxis Salisbury, licensed by Wiltshire Council. Fixed price, no surprises.
