Outside the Red Lion, in the centre of the village, where the A4361 runs past the pub. The National Trust lists its own drop off point outside the Red Lion. Your trip page shows the driver, the vehicle, its number plate and how far away it is.
Premier Taxis Salisbury drives every shuttle on this journey, in a white Vauxhall Vivaro with 8 seats. The fare is for the whole vehicle and is shared between everyone on it.
The way back: we pick you up outside the Red Lion in the centre of Avebury and drop you at the drop off point near the main entrance of Salisbury train station, in about 50 minutes. From £13.00 each, or £91.75 for the whole vehicle.
Your shuttle is a licensed private hire car run by Premier Taxis Salisbury.
By bus instead
The same two routes in reverse: the 49 to Devizes and route 2 to Salisbury, or the 42 to Marlborough and the X5 to Salisbury. Remember the 42 doesn’t run on Sundays.
Use the Message button on your trip page to tell the others sharing. More than 2 hours before pickup, you can change to another shuttle for free. Within 2 hours, including when your train is late, your seat is paid for. If you miss your shuttle, you can hop on a later shuttle with free seats at no extra cost; if no later shuttle has free seats, you book a new one at the normal price.
If nobody joins
Nobody joins? Full refund, unless you choose to go private. If nobody else has joined 2 hours before pickup, we ask if you’d like the whole vehicle for £91.75. If not, your hold is released and you pay nothing. If you ticked “I’d rather go private if nobody joins”, the vehicle is yours for £91.75 in total without asking.
