Who drives you

Your private shuttle is a licensed taxi from Premier Taxis Salisbury.
Shared Shuttles is a booking service, not a private hire firm. Every trip is driven by Premier Taxis Salisbury, a private hire firm licensed by Wiltshire Council. We send them your booking as soon as you pay.
Wiltshire Council licenses every private hire driver, vehicle and operator in Salisbury. Private hire cars must be booked in advance through a licensed operator, which is exactly how this works.

The route

From the station the car goes along Fisherton Street, round Churchill Way West and up the A345 Castle Road, then turns up the English Heritage driveway into the car park inside the earthworks. That is about 3.4 kilometres.
From the car park it is about 200 metres to the shop and admission point, across a wooden bridge.

Where to meet your shuttle

At Salisbury station: the drop off point near the main entrance of Salisbury train station. At Old Sarum castle: in the English Heritage car park, inside the outer bailey, about 200 metres from the shop and admission point. Your trip page shows the driver, the car and the number plate.

Premier Taxis Salisbury, a private hire firm licensed by Wiltshire Council. Shared Shuttles takes the booking and the payment; the licensed firm does the driving.
A shared shuttle is free to cancel from your trip page until 2 hours before pickup, whether you started it or joined it, and the hold on your card is released in full. Everyone else’s price goes back up, but never above what they were first held at. After that it’s non refundable, because the final price is set then. If you miss your shuttle, you can hop on a later one that day with free seats at no extra cost. A private shuttle is free to cancel up to 24 hours before pickup.
