About this journey

We collect you from the English Heritage car park at Old Sarum castle and take you to Salisbury station, about 2.1 miles and about 7 minutes on clear roads. Share from £3.63 each or go private for £16.75 a vehicle. Easiest is to book the return when you book the way there.
Your shuttle is a licensed private hire car run by Premier Taxis Salisbury.

When to book your pickup

English Heritage says an average visit takes about an hour. Most people book their pickup an hour or two after they arrive, so there is time for the walls, the cathedral outlines and the shop.
Check the closing time on the English Heritage page before you choose.

Where to wait

In the English Heritage car park, inside the outer bailey. From the shop and admission point it is about 200 metres back over the bridge. Your trip page shows the car and how many minutes away it is.

Going into the city instead of the station

We drop off at Salisbury station. If you are heading for the Market Place, the drive from Old Sarum is a little longer than the way out (about 3.8 kilometres, about 7 minutes) because of the one way system.

Other ways back

Walk
About 45 minutes to the station, mostly downhill along Castle Road.
Bus
The nearest stop, Old Castle, is 0.4 miles away on the main road. Check times first.
